Overview

Team profile

Colombia

Colombia have never qualified to either the FIVB World Championships or the Olympic Games, but have made their mark most recently in the 2017 South American Championship, where they claimed the silver medal after beating such continental powerhouses as Argentina and Peru and losing only to Brazil in the deciding game of the round-robin tournament which they hosted in Cali. Previously, Colombia had picked up bronze medals at the South American Championship in 1991 and 2015.

Colombia participated in the FIVB World Grand Prix for the first time in 2015. Their best ranking was 19th in the last edition of the competition, last year.
