Australia

Australia have competed in the Asian Championships for 40 years and the fourth-place finishes achieved in 1975 and 1979 remain their highest in the competition. Their most recent result was a tenth-place finish in 2017. They received welcome exposure when they competed at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, finishing ninth.

Australia made their FIVB World Grand Prix debut in 2015, but only socred their first win in the competition last year, when thet beat Trinidad & Tobago (and also registered a walkover win over no-show Venezuela in the Final Four of Group 3).
